Ashley Lansdown
Managing Attorney
Ashley Lansdown is the Managing Attorney and Founder of The Law Office of Ashley Lansdown. She is a criminal defense & military defense attorney. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 2011. In 2014, she earned her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. She is admitted to practice law in the state of Illinois.
Her experience includes many different varieties of litigation, including criminal defense, defensive immigration asylum, Social Security and Medi-Cal, VA healthcare and benefits, as well as county-wide public benefits. Ms. Lansdown has extensive experience in administrative, state, and federal litigation.
While living in San Francisco, Ms. Lansdown helped run the General Assistance Advocacy Project, a homeless drop-in clinic for those in need of public benefits advocacy. She spent time at Swords to Plowshares, a veterans rights organization dedicated to helping low-income veterans get back on their feet and secure the VA benefits to which they are entitled. Ms. Lansdown also spent time at Bay Area Legal Aid. She assisted homeless and low-income San Franciscans attain and retain public benefits and secure stable employment and housing. She also helped lead a statewide campaign to end indefinite solitary confinement in California and was an advocate for prisoners' rights.
Ms. Lansdown is passionate about defending the rights of service members who have been accused of UCMJ violations. She believes strongly in the presumption of innocence and has always enjoyed advocating for those who feel that nobody is on their side. She has worked with the municipal, state, and federal government and deeply understands how the odds are stacked against those accused of crimes.
Ms. Lansdown's father served in the U.S. Air Force, her grandfather served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in WWII, and her husband is a Marine Corps veteran and currently serves in the U.S. Navy. She has always been passionate about working with the military and veteran community and admires and identifies with service members' dedication to public service.
